ÊÎÌÌÅÍÒÀÐÈÈ:
Their first match in Athens was annulled due to errors in the penalty shoot-out procedure. When the series was 3-2 for C.S.K.A., the referee Valentin Lipatov interrupted the shoot-out and mistakenly declared Bulgarians as winners: C.S.K.A. had shot 3 penalties (no miss), but P.A.E. Panathinaikos shot only 4 penalties (two misses) and could make a draw, as long as C.S.K.A. missed their remaining two penalties.
